Agile Product Owner

As an Agile Product Owner you will serve as a key liaison between the users of our products and the developers that build it. You will need to understand the market, our customers’ problems and our business to make effective decisions. You will work with key stakeholders throughout Backstop and beyond and have to be able to clearly communicate about the projects in-flight and the vision of the product in the future.

Core Responsibilities:
- Face-to-face interaction with clients, understanding of clients’ needs, formulating the vision for the product and its features, and communicating that vision to the designers / development teams.
- Translating the product vision and user stories into defined product features.
- Formulation of development plans, lining-up tasks and subtasks for developers and designers.
- Development of feature requirements.
- Participation in Agile sprint planning. Driving tasks to completion; making sub-iteration decision – changing features & priority between iterations.
- Backlog management / continuous prioritization.
- Full-time support of the development team.
- Acceptance testing of developed features.
- Assist marketing with positioning, development of documentation & collateral.
- Support sales in pitching product to customers. Participating in internal and external product demos.
- Liaison with Sales, Support, Marketing, Professional Services & executives. Continuously track performance of the product and adjust product vision.
Functional Requirements:
- Experience with Agile product management or project management.
- Knowledgeable in technology.
- Computer Science/Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus.
- Experience in financial industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to drive projects to completion.
